(12 songs).... richie hawtins triumphant return to the stage as plastikman in 2010 proved that his best-known alias is as innovative and as relevant as ever. hawtin has taken plastikmans most classic material, originally released between 1993 and 2003, and reworked it for a truly live performance accompanied by mind-bending, synchronized visuals-a sound and light show like no other, one that collapses the distance between present-day festivals and the uncompromisingly underground warehouse parties of the mid 90s. for many attendees, this is their first taste of plastikman...

aardvarck returns with his third full length album for eat concrete records. >anti concept< showcases a taste for deep ambient and minimalstic soundscapes, dub, detroit techno and bass heavy beats, mixed into a perfect flow. as the title suggests >anti concept< leaves aside musical genres and focuses on atmosphere rather than style. aardvarck carefully and patiently builds his own world of sound, adding layers and complexity with each track. these tracks bring mostly new material but also contain some of his earlier works on previous eat concrete and bloom releases, highlighting some personal favourites of his impressive output. enjoy!

on sat002 lovework/decisions, black light smoke shows off his pop sensibilities with two sing-a-long summer anthems-in-the-making. lovework is a no-wave-inspired ditty littered with catchy analog synths, an ass-shakin bassline and reverbed claps juxtapozed with a haunting processed vocal from the producer himself that repeats, >you made a mess of my head. now i gotta put it all back together. theres nothing to say, over and over…< which is how this tune will be playing in your head after one listen. on the flip we get a taste of black light smoke in deep house mode with decisions, a lustrous and vibey joint that features a sweeter vocal by suavecito, a new guise of dj/producer and vocalist who is well known by another name. here more analog synths produce wickedly buoyant bass lines and swirling pads that combine with bubbly piano stabs and little vocal sample/edits for what sounds like it could have been a naked music release had the label been operating in 1990.

tdrmc: 2011 has started off with a bang and these guys are going from strength to strength with releases on sleazy beats, paper, throne of blood and needwant pencilled in to the schedule. after djing all around the world and dropping these beats to crowds at glastonbury, 021, low slung and finishing off the year with a tour of australia tdrmc show no signs of slowing up. // tomas malo: as one half of the weirdo police, malo goes it alone and delivers some slick french fried funk. currently residing in mexico, malo is working with some of the latin music scenes hottest artists and can be seen sashaying around the latin music awards in miami. // se62: ukrainian wunderkind yura has already enjoyed releases on sleazy beats and is working his magic on home taping. the distinctive style of his loose beats and relentless grooves have been destroying dance floors all over the world. //lex wolf: mambo & circus resident alex has been making beats for the last 10 years which have been the staple diet of any dj worth his salt!! with exceptional musical taste, djing talents to rival any selector and skills in the studio that any producer would kill to have, we are over the moon to be able to present one of his tracks.

third vinyl release of escapism musique (emv003) is born from the collaboration between the label owner mindhacker, and the french artist sami wentz (monza ibiza/my litle dog/resopal/plastic city).
the ep contains two original tracks, >late night love< and >for you<, two deep-house / house tracks perfect for the summer, but not only, and two remixes made by jacuzzi boys (cecille/levelnonzero/kindisch/off/below/suara) and lula circus (resopal/ostwind/catwash). the remixers approached a different style, and we are sure one of this tracks will be on your taste. enjoy this beautiful release and feel free to chart it. long live the vinyl!
